This is the start of an (ever expanding) list of books I want to read in 2012…I will be adding to it constantly :P
- A Song of Ice and Fire series by George R R Martin (I did read A Game of Thrones this during the summer, but I want to reread it so it actually sinks in).
- Forever by Maggie Stiefvater (I hate not knowing how a series ends).
- Room by Emma Donoghue
- Nightshade by Andrea Cremer
- Nevermore by Kelly Creagh
- Heist Society by Ally Carter
- The Hypnotist by Lars Kepler
- 0.4 by Mike Lancaster
- Witches of East End by Melissa de la Cruz
- Enthralled by Melissa Marr
- Falling Under by Gwen Hayes
- The Farseer Trilogy by Robin Hobb (I read the first this summer, need to read the rest).
- Citadel by Kate Mosse (This is SO exciting! Don’t know how I’ll be able to wait till September)
- Bitterblue by Kristin Cashore
- Shadow of Night by Deborah Harkness
Darkness Falls by Cate Tiernan- Fair Game by Patricia Briggs
- Where She Went by Gayle Foreman
- Beautiful Darkness and Beautiful Chaos by Kami Garcia
- Silence by Becca Fitzpatrick
- The Lady of the Rivers by Philippa Gregory
- The Power of Six by Pittacus Lore
- Passion by Lauren Kate
- The Demons Surrender and The Demons Covenant by Sara Rees Brennan
- Darklight by Leslie Livingston
- The Lost Saint by Bree Despain
- Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor
- Mercy by Jussi Adler-Olsen
- The Fault in Our Stars by John Green (like any true nerdfighter, I have pre-ordered a signed copy)
- City of Lost Souls by Cassandra Clare (I’ve been a fan since the day book 1 was released, and literally only received and finished Clockwork Prince a couple of days ago)
- Coraline by Neil Gaiman
- Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead (I tried to read it a while ago, but couldn’t get into it. Recently I saw on a book poll that her Bloodlines book was coming second to Cassandra Clare, so I thought I’d better check it out)
A Thousand Splendid Suns Khaled Hosseini- A Little Princess by Frances Hodgson Burnett
- Chart Throb by Ben Elton
- Envy by Judy Corbett
Not all of these books will be good, but they have been on my ‘to read’ list forever, because amazon will not stop recommending them!
Some have not yet been released, but I will read them asap.
Please note the large number of YA and fantasy - I am a sucker for both ;)
